A talk for your venue

I bring the book to your room

A one-hour talk on Ramon Llull built from the book, with slides, plus fifteen minutes of questions. It has already been given at Firagran, at Lluïsos de Gràcia and with Col·lectiu Minerva.

• Who Ramon Llull really was: the Mallorcan merchant who gave it all up at thirty.
• Why he wrote in Catalan when all serious thought was written in Latin.
• The Art and the nine principles: the thinking machine he invented six centuries before anyone spoke of algorithms.
• The Llull nobody explains: the missionary, the scientist, the novelist of the Llibre de les bèsties.
• The ladder up to God, rung by rung, as the thread running through the session.

There is no fee for the talk. Within the Barcelonès county it costs the venue nothing. Outside it, I ask you to cover travel for me and one companion, plus one night's accommodation if the distance calls for it. And a table so I can sign and sell copies to anyone who wants one at the end.
