The Minerva Collective: the women creators of Gràcia backing Sara

The Minerva Collective — Dones Creadores de Gràcia — is the meeting point for the women who create in Barcelona's Gràcia district: writers, poets, visual artists, musicians, actresses and craftswomen. Its goal is clear: to promote women's cultural creation, rooted in the neighbourhood and with a gender perspective, and to give it visibility in and beyond Gràcia.

The project has been running for over a decade. It has the support of the Gràcia District, collaborates with L'Independent de Gràcia, keeps a virtual catalogue of creators and takes part in neighbourhood life: group exhibitions, the Festa Major, 8M and 25N. Its work has been recognised with the Vila de Gràcia Award.

Sara Marugan belongs to the collective as a writer, and Minerva has been a first-rate ally in bringing «Ramon Llull com mai te l'han explicat» to readers: the launch at Lluïsos de Gràcia within Minerva's programme, the 6th Authors' Breakfast Gathering at El Centre de Gràcia for Sant Jordi, and street stalls alongside L'Independent, books on the table and the neighbourhood strolling by.
